The Medical Imaging Group (MIG) was established in December 2008 at Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore with Phaneendra K. Yalavarthy as the convener of the group. MIG is located in Room No: 327 of third floor bay area of CDS.

Interests:

MIG focus is on developing novel computational methods, including image reconstruction/analysis, in Medical Imaging. The group's research interests include Computational methods in medical imaging, multi-modal imaging, medical image reconstruction techniques, Low-dose CT imaging, and Neuroimaging.

  • ISMRMMarch 23, 2012: Nick's work on real-time temperature map reconstruction using GPUs  that was submitted to ISMRM annual meeting has won the ISMRM Merit Award (Summa Cum Laude). This abstract scored in top 3% among 4477 accepted abstracts at ISMRM 20th annual meeting. (UPDATE: This poster was also chosen to be in the top 10 posters for the award of best poster at ISMRM.)
