Congratulations to Dr. Phani Motamarri and his research group for their selection as finalists for the 2023 ACM Gordon Bell Prize!
The team, along with researchers from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, developed a computational framework that enables large-scale material modelling with quantum accuracy while attaining an unprecedented performance of 660 PFLOPS using 8000 GPU nodes on the world’s first exascale supercomputer “Frontier”.
