Data Science & Artificial Intelligence (DA) has been newly introduced as a paper in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) starting from 2024. This is a significant addition, reflecting the growing importance of these fields in academia and industry.
Clarification for Admissions:
The Department of Computational and Data Sciences wishes to clarify that we will admit students from the following eligible GATE paper streams: AE, BT, CE, CH, CS, EC, EE, IN, MA, ME, MT, PH, ST, and now also including DA (Data Science and Artificial Intelligence).
This change aims to broaden the scope of admissions, allowing candidates with a strong foundation in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence to pursue advanced studies and research within our department.
Impact on Prospective Students:
For aspiring students, this addition presents a new opportunity to align their GATE preparation with their interest in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. It also expands the range of disciplines from which students can be admitted to our programs.
