The MALL Lab, led by Prof. Partha Talukdar recently participated in the Allen AI Science Challenge. The goal was to build a system that could answer 8th grade multiple-choice Science questions. The lab put together a system in about a month’s time, leverging their research on natural language processing and machine learning, and were ranked 10th (out of 170 teams worldwide).
