Dr. Konda Reddy Mopuri (advised by Prof. Venkatesh Babu) from the Video Analytics Lab has won the IUPRAI Best Doctoral Dissertation Award for the year 2018-19. His Ph.D. thesis is titled ”Deep Visual Representations: A study on Augmentation, Visualization, and Robustness”. IUPRAI (Indian Unit of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence) – Doctoral Dissertation Award program has been established to recognize and encourage excellence in research and writing by doctoral candidates in the areas of Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Image Processing, and Pattern Recognition. IUPRAI -Doctoral Dissertation Award is presented biannually at the ICVGIP (Indian Conference on Computer Vision, Graphics and Image processing) conference. The award for 2018-2019 was conferred during the ICVGIP 2020 Conference, held during December 19-21, 2020 at IIT Jodhpur.
