Prof. Jayant Haritsa has been awarded the prestigious JC Bose Fellowship. Congrats Jayant!

Prof. Partha Pratim Talukdar has been awarded the Accenture Open Innovation grant for his project to harvest knowledge from large text datasets, and using them to improve accuracy and coverage of cognitive computing systems. A total of 11 awards were given worldwide and 4 were from India.

Prof. Yalavarthy (Associate Professor, SERC) recently received the  INDIGO Twinning Program grant. This is a competitive grant with only 3 out of 18 proposals accepted. Prof. Jayant Haritsa(SERC, CSA) was awarded the Infosys Prize, a coveted honour awarded for outstanding achievements of contemporary research in the areas of Engineering and Computer Science. More details here

Nagaraj (MSc, SERC) have won the best paper award at the International Symposium on Code Generation and Optimization (CGO 2015) for their paper titled “Approximating Flow-Sensitive Pointer Analysis Using Frequent Itemset Mining”. Congratulations!

Prof. Jayant Haritsa (SERC, CSA) and his students Anshuman Dutt and Sumit Neelam have won the Best Demo award at VLDB 2014 in China, for their creation Quest (Sep 5, 2014).
