Congratulations to Dr. Vaanathi Sundaresan on being honoured as the Winner – Best Woman Professional (Early Career) of the Shri Pralhad P. Chhabria Awards 2025, organized by the Hope Foundation and Research Centre, Pune. The award recognises excellence in professional achievement, leadership, and impact, and is conferred to a woman professional, following a rigorous evaluation by an expert jury panel.
Dr. Sundaresan’s research at BioMedIA lab focuses on the application of data science and machine learning techniques to solve complex engineering problems, with an emphasis on development of robust and scalable models for analysing high-dimensional data, enabling improved prediction, diagnostics, and decision-making in real-world systems.
The award was conferred during the Founder’s Day celebrations held on 12 March 2026 at the International Institute of Information Technology (I²IT), Pune.
