Abstract: As classical computing approaches its physical and architectural limits, new paradigms are emerging to extend computational power. This talk explores how quantum computing, once confined to theory, is becoming accessible through the cloud, creating a bridge between digital infrastructure and quantum systems. In this session we shall briefly look into the basics of quantum principles—superposition, entanglement, and interference—and give some insights into the current state-of-the-art. Next, we shall dive into the quantum software stack, cloud-based quantum access, and related areas where inputs from cloud experts can enhance the workflow. We shall conclude the session with some qiskit codes showing the execution of some basic quantum circuits on IBM Quantum hardware.
