A research paper co-authored by CDS researchers (Ghanshyam Chandra, Chirag Jain) has been featured on the cover of the December issue of Genome Research, one of the leading journals in genomics and computational biology. This work reframes genotyping as a graph-based optimization problem, enabling robust genome inference using pangenome references. The algorithm is effective for genotyping challenging regions of the human genome where conventional algorithms struggle.
