Fun with Graphs and Networks

Speaker : Dr. Sajal K. Das
Title : Fun with Graphs and Networks
Date & Time : August 10, 2025 (Sunday), 11:00 AM
Venue : # 102, CDS Seminar Hall

Abstract: Networks are typically modeled as graphs to abstract a variety of real-life applications, such as wireless mobile networks, sensor and IoT networks, UAV or drone networks, cyber-physical systems, social and biological networks, etc. This talk will focus on recreational graphs and networks for simple problems (e.g., chess games, card shuffling, Pascal’s triangle, Towers of Hanoi) using fundamental concepts of graph theory and combinatorics. The audience will have “fun” while enjoying graph magic.

Pre-requisite: Problem/puzzle solving, creative, and fun-loving mind

Guest Speaker Bio: Dr. Sajal K. Das, whose academic genealogy includes Thomas Alva Edison, is Curators’ Distinguished Professor and Daniel St. Clair Endowed Chair in Computer Science at Missouri University of Science and Technology, USA.
